Experienced Bookkeeper
Street Tax is a growing company that specializes in bookkeeping and personal taxes. Street Tax is the bookkeeping team for businesses and individuals seeking bookkeeping services in Grande Prairie. We are a full-service accounting and bookkeeping firm focused on helping local businesses and residents keep their tax profiles clear and books up to date.
We are currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience managing financial records and performing various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Reconciliations, including bank/credit cards, CRA accounts and loans
- Preparing and filing GST returns
- Preparing payroll and calculating remittance details for the client
- Maintain an organized client filing system
- Maintain client accounts – filing system, records and communication
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent at meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
Wage: Dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (37.5 hours a week) plus extended hours during tax season.

Seasonal Tax Preparer
Our office is currently looking for a Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team.
Street Tax is a growing company that specializes in bookkeeping and personal taxes. We are looking for an individual who is positive and can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet our client’s needs.
The successful candidate requires the following:
- Minimum 1 year experience in personal tax preparation
- Be reliable and organized
- Have strong attention to detail and excellent written and communication skills
- Posses a team player attitude
- Tax experience using either Profile, Tax Prep or DT Max
- Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Windows and MS Outlook
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of personal tax returns
- Receive and process payments
- Answering of phone
- Perform clerical duties such as; filing and sorting
Qualifications:
- Experience in bookkeeping would be an asset.
